AI Chat accessibility
AI Chat can be used from the keyboard, follows your system’s light or dark setting if you ask it to, and lets you switch to your computer’s own interface font. This page lists what is available today.
Keyboard
| Action | Mac | Windows / Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Send message | Enter | Enter |
| New line | Shift+Enter | Shift+Enter |
| Stop the reply | Esc | Esc |
| Attach a file | ⌘U | Ctrl+U |
| Adaptive thinking on/off | ⇧⌘E | Shift+Ctrl+E |
| Quick chat or search | ⌘K | Ctrl+K |
| Show all shortcuts | ⌘/ | Ctrl+/ |
The switches in the model menu, such as Web search and Adaptive thinking, can be toggled with Enter or Space. For the full list, press ⌘/ (Ctrl+/) anywhere in the app.
Screen readers
Menu buttons and switches in the chat composer carry text labels (for example Select model, Web search, Adaptive thinking) so screen readers can announce them.
Display
In Settings → Appearance you can choose Light, Dark or Default device, pick an accent color, and set Font type to System Default. See Appearance, theme and font.
Tell us what doesn’t work
If part of chat doesn’t work with your assistive technology, email support@syntic.ai with the browser, the tool you use and the screen you were on.
