Short answers to the questions people ask most about AI Chat.
Is AI Chat free?
Yes. The Free plan includes chat with 200,000 tokens a month. Paid plans add more tokens, more searches and uploads, and memory. See Use AI Chat with an individual plan.
Which model answers me?
The one shown in the model menu, by default Amara S1.2. See AI Chat model configuration.
Can the assistant search the web?
Yes, when Web search is on in the model menu and your plan’s daily allowance isn’t used up. Searches reset at midnight UTC.
Why did chat stop in the middle of my day?
You probably reached the 5-hour or weekly window. The banner says when it reopens. See Hitting a usage limit.
Does Syntic remember earlier chats?
On Starter and above, memory across chats is available, as long as your organization hasn’t switched it off. Manage it in Settings → Memory.
Are my chats used for training?
Only if Help improve Syntic is on in Settings → Data Controls. See Model training and your chats.
Can I change how Syntic talks to me?
Yes, in Settings → AI Personality. See AI Personality.
Can I talk to my AI Staff in chat?
AI Staff is in limited preview. See AI Staff.
