How you sign in, and why there’s no password
Syntic accounts don’t have passwords. You sign in with Google or with a one-time code emailed to you. That means there’s no password to choose, reuse, forget or have stolen.
The ways to sign in
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Continue with Google | Sign in with your Google account |
| Continue with email | Syntic emails a verification code; type it on the next screen and choose Verify Email Address |
| Single sign-on (SSO) | Coming soon. See Single sign-on (SSO) |
The same methods work on syntic.ai and in the Syntic Console at platform.syntic.ai. Syntic Code and Syntic Desktop open your browser and use them too.
Email codes
- Each code is for one sign-in. If you wait too long or mistype it, you’ll see “That code is invalid or expired. Please try again.”
- Choose Try sending again to get a new code, at most every 30 seconds.
- Choose Change email address if you typed the wrong one.
Keep your account safe without a password
Because your email inbox (or Google account) is the key to your Syntic account:
- Protect your email account with a strong password and its own two-step verification.
- Turn on Syntic’s two-step verification, so an inbox alone isn’t enough.
- Never forward a Syntic verification code to anyone.
- Check your active sessions now and then.
Phishing
Syntic sign-in pages live on syntic.ai and platform.syntic.ai. If a page on another address asks for a Syntic code, close it and report it to support@syntic.ai.
