Troubleshoot Connectors
Most connection problems are a blocked pop-up, a sign-in started in one tab and finished in another, or an app that isn’t open yet. Match the message you see below.
The app I want shows “Coming soon”
That connector isn’t available yet. Select Notify me to ask to be told when it opens. See Get started with Connectors for what is live.
”Popup blocked. Allow pop-ups for syntic.ai and try again.”
Connect GitHub inside a chat opens GitHub in a pop-up. Allow pop-ups for syntic.ai in your browser, then select Connect GitHub again. You can also connect from Settings → Integrations, which uses a normal page instead of a pop-up.
”OAuth state mismatch — possible CSRF attack”
The connection was finished in a different tab or browser from where it started, or your browser cleared its session data in between. Nothing was saved. Close extra Syntic tabs and start again from one tab.
”No authorization code received” or “OAuth error: …”
You cancelled on GitHub’s page, or GitHub refused the request. Try again and select approve. If your repositories belong to a GitHub organization, an owner there may need to allow the app first.
”GitHub connection failed” or “Connection failed. Redirecting…”
Wait a minute and try again. If it keeps failing, email support with the time it happened.
”We couldn’t check your GitHub connection”
Syntic couldn’t confirm your connection status. If you connected before, it is still linked. Close the dialog and try again shortly.
”Failed to load repositories” or “Failed to load file tree”
Your GitHub access may have been revoked on GitHub’s side. Select Disconnect in Settings → Integrations, then connect again.
A repository is missing from the list
You only see repositories your GitHub account can open. For a GitHub organization’s repositories, check that the organization allows the Syntic app.
”GitHub search rate-limited — try again in 60s”
GitHub limits how often you can search. Wait 60 seconds, or browse the file tree instead of searching.
Still stuck?
Email support@syntic.ai with the exact message and the time, or use the contact page. Check status.syntic.ai for outages.
