What happens when you cancel
Nothing changes on the day you cancel. You keep every paid feature for the rest of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again. When the period ends, the organization’s paid plan stops.
Until the end of the period
- Your plan’s limits, slots and features stay as they are.
- Settings → Billing shows Your subscription ends on followed by the date, instead of the renewal date.
- You can click Resume plan to undo the cancellation.
After the period ends
| What | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your personal workspace | Drops to the Free plan and its limits, for example 200,000 tokens a month and 7 web searches a day |
| Any other organization | Falls back to Free. Because each person can keep only one Free organization, and Free organizations share one allowance, an extra one can be locked with This organization’s plan is inactive. Subscribe to activate. |
| API and Syntic Code | Stop working, because they need a paid plan |
| Usage and API credit balance | Kept. You can’t buy more or spend past a limit on Free, but the balance is there if you upgrade again |
| Members | Stay in the organization. You can still suspend and remove them, but you can’t invite new people |
| Your chats, projects and files | Stay in your account |
Coming back
Subscribe again from the plans page at any time. See Choose a paid plan.
Want to close everything?
To remove the organization itself, see Archive or delete an organization. To close your whole account, see Delete your account; deleting the account cancels its subscription immediately.
