Archive or delete an organization
Owners can archive an organization, restore it, or schedule it for permanent deletion from Settings → Danger zone. Archiving is fully reversible. Scheduling deletion archives the organization at once and starts a 30-day period during which you can still restore everything.
Only owners of the organization can use these actions; the page says Only the owner of this organization can manage archive + deletion.
The three states
| State | What it means | Available actions |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Normal use | Archive, Schedule deletion |
| Archived | Read-only. Members can still view data | Restore, Schedule deletion |
| Pending deletion | Archived, with a 30-day countdown | Restore |
Archive an organization
Select the organization
Pick it in the workspace switcher, then go to Settings → Danger zone.
Click Archive
Optionally note a reason, then confirm. The organization becomes read-only.
To bring it back, click Restore on the same page and confirm. Any deletion countdown is cancelled.
Delete an organization permanently
Open Danger zone
Select the organization and go to Settings → Danger zone. Schedule deletion is available for active and archived organizations.
Click Schedule deletion
The dialog explains that the organization will be archived now and permanently deleted after 30 days, with its projects, agents, conversations, files and members.
Confirm
Optionally give a reason, type Yes Archive in the confirmation box, and confirm.
When the data is removed
Permanent removal is a later step that is not yet automatic at the end of the 30 days, so the organization stays archived and read-only until it is removed. Treat a scheduled deletion as final anyway: don’t rely on being able to restore after the 30 days. If you need confirmation that an organization’s data has been erased, email privacy@syntic.ai.
Invoices and billing records are kept after deletion for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Cancel any paid plan on the organization before you delete it, so it isn’t renewed. See Cancel your plan.
