Sign out or switch accounts
Run syntic auth logout (or type /logout inside a session) to remove your saved sign-in from this computer. To use a different Syntic account, sign out and then sign in again with the other account.
Sign out
syntic auth logoutThis deletes the stored credentials on this computer. It is safe to run when you are already signed out. Your saved sessions and settings stay where they are.
Switch to another account
Sign out
syntic auth logoutMake sure the browser uses the right account
The approval page uses whatever Syntic account your browser is logged in to, and shows it on the Signed in as line. If that is the old account, choose Switch account on that page before you authorize.
Sign in again
syntic auth loginChoose Authorize once the page shows the account you want.
Confirm
Run syntic auth status, or /status inside a session, and check the account and plan shown.
Still using the old account?
Syntic Code picks the first credential it finds, in this order:
- An API key set in the
SYNTIC_API_KEYvariable of your shell - A token saved in your user settings (written by
syntic setup-token) - Your browser sign-in
- A key helper command set in your user settings
So if a key is set in your shell, it wins over the account you just signed in with. Run /doctor in a session to see where the credential in use came from, and remove the variable (for example with unset SYNTIC_API_KEY) if you meant to use your browser sign-in.
Switch organization
The plan Syntic Code uses comes from the account you sign in with. If you belong to several organizations and the wrong plan shows on the Plan: line, sign out and sign in again. When the approval page asks you to pick an organization, choose the one whose plan you want to use. Organization membership itself is managed on the Syntic website; see Account & billing.
