Age requirements
Syntic is for adults: the minimum age is 18, or higher if the law where you live sets a higher age for a service. Syntic is not intended for children under 18 unless a particular offering says otherwise and has suitable permission and safeguards in place.
Where the rule comes from
- The Consumer Terms set the minimum age of 18 for personal accounts.
- The Privacy Policy says the services are not intended for children under 18.
Trusted contacts
The Trusted contact feature in Settings → Safety is also limited to adults: the person you invite must confirm they are 18 or older.
Apps built on the Syntic API
If you offer the Syntic API inside your own product, you are responsible for age-appropriate access for your users, along with your own terms, privacy notice and consent. See API Terms.
Education
Schools and other institutions should consider student privacy, age restrictions and oversight before deployment, as the deployment safety page recommends. See Syntic for Education.
Report an underage user
If you believe a child under 18 has given Syntic personal information, email privacy@syntic.ai with the account email if you know it.
