Model not found or not in your plan
Model names on Syntic are exact and case-sensitive, such as Amara S2 or Syntic Code. If you send a name the API does not serve, or one your plan does not include, the request is refused with an error. List the models your key can use and copy the name exactly.
What you get
| Situation | What you get |
|---|---|
The name is not a served model (including retired names such as Amara S1.2 and Amara Quick) | 404 model_not_found: “The requested model was not found.” |
| The model is served but your plan does not include it | 403 model_not_in_plan: “Your plan does not include this model. List the models your key can use with GET /v1/models.” |
| Zero data retention is on for your organization, and the model needs standard retention | 400 model_unavailable. Choose another model. |
If you leave out model, the default model answers; GET /v1/models marks it with "default": true.
Fix it
- List the models your key can use with
GET /v1/models, or check Models in the docs. - Copy the name exactly, including spaces and capitals:
Amara S2, notamara-s2. - Keep model names in configuration and test them whenever you change them.
- Upgrade if you need a model above your plan. See Compare plans.
In Syntic Code
Type /model to see the models your plan includes. If a request names a model your plan does not include, it is refused with a message saying your plan does not include it.
In Syntic Desktop
“This model isn’t in your plan” means you picked a model above your plan. Choose another model from the model menu, or upgrade.
