Syntic Desktop model configuration

Syntic Desktop uses the models that come with your Syntic account; because the app signs in with your account, you do not need an API key. You pick a model per conversation from the model menu, and your plan decides which models are open to you. The app is in preview, so these details may change.

Choose a model for a conversation

  1. Click the model button beside the message box. It is labelled with the current model (or Select model).
  2. Search with Search models… if the list is long.
  3. Pick a model. Where a model offers it, choose an Effort level too; Default leaves the choice to the model.

Models outside your plan show Requires and the plan name, with an Upgrade button. The footer of the menu shows your plan and token count.

See every model on your account

Open Settings › Models. The Syntic account section lists the models available to your account, each with its context size and an Available or Unavailable badge.
