Syntic Desktop security and privacy

Syntic Desktop keeps your projects and files on your computer. What you send in a conversation, and the files the agent reads to do a task, go to the Syntic platform so the model can answer. You sign in through your browser, so the app never asks for your password.

What stays on your computer

  • Your projects and their files.
  • The app’s settings, including your keyboard shortcuts.
  • Diagnostic and crash reports. Nothing is sent to us unless you attach it to a support request.

What is sent to Syntic

  • Your messages and attachments.
  • Files and command output the Code agent reads or produces while working on a task.
  • Account requests, such as your plan, balance and model list.

How Syntic handles that data on the platform side is covered in Privacy and legal.

Signing in safely

  • Sign-in happens on the Syntic website. Check the Signed in as line before choosing Authorize.
  • Signing out does not delete any data; you can sign in to the same account again. If tasks are running, the app warns that signing out will interrupt them.
  • Lost a computer? On the Syntic website, open Settings › Security and choose Sign out everywhere. It ends every browser, Syntic Code and Desktop sign-in on your account.

Install only from syntic.ai

⚠️

Syntic Desktop is in preview with no public download. Any installer offered elsewhere, or sent to you by email or chat, is not from us. Do not run it, and tell us through Contact support.

Before you share a report

Crash and diagnostic reports can contain file paths and snippets from your work. Look through a report before you attach it to a support request.
