Get started with Skills
Skills show up in three places in Syntic: the Skills catalog for AI Staff, the Agent Skills catalog for AI Agents, and the skill picker on the Art Factory canvas. You sign in with your normal Syntic account; there is nothing extra to install.
Where to find skills
| Where | Who sees it | What you do there |
|---|---|---|
| Skills in the AI Staff group of the sidebar | Accounts in the Workforce preview | Browse staff skills and collections, then assign one to a staff member |
| Agent Skills button on the AI Agents page | Accounts in the Workforce preview | Browse skills that an automated agent can run |
| Skills marketplace (press ⌘K or Ctrl+K and search for Marketplace) | Accounts in the Workforce preview | Browse approved listings; admins install them for the organization |
| Skill picker on an Art Factory project | Every account | Pick a ready-made creative workflow, or save your own with Save as Skill |
The Workforce area is in a limited preview. If you don’t see the Workforce switch at the top of the sidebar, staff skills, agent skills and the marketplace aren’t open on your account yet. See What you can do with Syntic today.
Give a staff member their first skill
Open the catalog
In the Workforce area, select Skills under AI Staff. The page opens on All Skills; use Category or Search skills to narrow it.
Read the skill
Select a skill card. A side panel shows its description and the full instructions it adds.
Assign it
Select Assign to staff…, then pick the person. You’ll see a confirmation such as Attached “Skill name” to Alex.
You can also open a staff member’s edit page and use Add skill in the Skills card. That card lists every skill already attached; select the × on one to remove it.
Your first Art Factory skill
On an Art Factory project, choose a skill from the picker to apply its workflow to the canvas. Once a canvas chat has at least two messages, the Save as Skill button (the sparkle icon next to New chat) turns that chat into a personal skill. Saved skills appear under My Skills.
